Workout Information


The purpose of YMCA of Greenville Splash Masters is to aid swimmers of all abilities in maintaining a healthy lifestyle through structured coached workouts while discovering the friendship, camaraderie, motivation and fun of group swimming. All workouts have a coach on deck to lead a fun organized workout. Swimmers are grouped into lanes according to ability level. Come on out and let our experienced coaches help to improve your technique, efficiency, strength, and endurance.

  • First Splash Workout
  • -- W 6:30-7:30pm

  • This workout is designed for the beginner adult swimmer. This swimmer can swim a couple lengths of the pool but has never had formal instruction or been on a swim team. The coach will provide individual stroke technique in all four strokes. The coach will work with swimmers to teach drills, strokes, following a pace clock, and learning proper lane etiquette. The goal is to improve fitness ability and technique so swimmers can progress to a more advanced Masters workout.
